sweet peas

This is a linoleum block print depicting sugar snap peas.  It is on handmade paper made of recycle paper, okra, tomato and squash fibers.  Because my senior project involved seventeen different compositions just for prints, I took a few of my favorites to display on the site.  This is one and the next three are as well.  I might add a couple more and show some of the ceramic work as well.

Directions

This is a woodblock print based upon the meaning of cairns, or man made stacks of rocks.  As with many things meaning change from place to place and cairns are no exception.  I was honored to have this piece selected to the Bradley University Gallery’s International Print Show this spring.

The Tiny Avenger
